The project consists of patient rooms around the perimeter including bariatric isolation and standard isolation rooms. Nurses' stations and other "core" functions are all located in the center of the wing. There is a "cross" corridor running through the center of the core and noisy rooms are accessed off of it to maintain a quiet atmosphere for the patients. BES D/B provided Engineering Services, CB Design Group provided Architecture and Quality Control on the project, OCMI served as the Cost Estimator, and FP&C served as the Fire Protection Engineer. As was the case with all projects that he is the Project Manager for, Mr. Holihan facilitated/directed the design charrette for the project. The effort determined the number of single patient rooms the space could support as well as the requirements for supporting capabilities. The design charrette sized the patient privacy and medical staff supporting space capabilities and produced the Design Program which defined the scope and size for the conversion from multi patient rooms to single patient rooms with attached bath.
